That's cool, looking forward to it.
We plan on doing the new album in vinyl format next year.

Re: New Dischord song
Yup Siege was the 1st album. We actually have 2 demos before that, but only the 2nd was physically released (about 50 copies) the 1st one being lost on some myspace account.. We re-released Siege last year to a small vinyl run (under 200). I'd be curious to know how many maritime metal bands have vi...

Re: Maritime Metal Documentary Film
Would a list of venues in the Maritimes be something to consider? Like the Paramount and Manhattan are lengendary for hosting most of the scene's shows back in the hey day in Moncton.

Re: How did social media effect the scene?
Haha, yup fb is getting old. I rarely ever post any personal stuff on there. If I wasn't promoting shows, I wouldn't be on it. As for band personnas, people should be genuine right? I guess stage personnas depends on what genra of metal you're in? Like Nergal doing yoga lol, I can see it, buddy went...

Re: How did social media effect the scene?
I agree that social media has totally de-mystified a lot of stuff. Killled a lot of the sense of wonder. Not just people but bands as well. No need to wait for that elusive band interview anymore when you can just look them up on social media and send them a PM or peer into their personal lives.

Re: How did social media effect the scene?
As a promoter, social media makes it way easier to reach a vast number of people for free. (I guess that would be a moot point if everybody would be here instead but...)

Re: List Of Maritime Metal Bands
You didn't add any of the ones I mentioned lol.
Also there's Rusted Dawn.
And for Black Frost I think you did a typo, it should read 2002-?? Last show I heard from them was 2010-2011..

Re: Will this board get used like it used to?
I doubt msgboards will make a comeback. I do feel that they brought more of a sense of community together than social media does. But right now the metal scene in Moncton is doing pretty good. We had over 75 paid for archspire etc on a Tuesday. Over 100 for Rivers of nihil etc. There is support for ...
