Technically not a Maritime band, but 2 of 4 members of Centuries of Decay from Toronto grew up in PEI (former members of Church and Uigg)

Check them out. Very accomplished musicians, and are actually literally playing at Wacken today (they won a Canadian battle of the bands for the chance to play there).

There’s Spew from Halifax. They opened for Sacrifice here last Saturday and were pretty damn good. I misjudged them based on their shitty artwork and name, but the music definitely delivered. It’s some of the guys from Hellacaust/Terratomb I think.
